“I've always thought the Mets' NYC jerseys looked like bootleg Yankees uniforms, but they really looked like the higher pedigree of New York tonight, mocking the Bronx pinstripes. The weirdest part of the game, though, might be the booth acting like the Mets were blowing a lead before the damage was actually done, as if their fans should feel ashamed for an error even though Rodon was throwing heaters to the backstop only a few innings prior. Weaver getting out of a bases-loaded jam promptly shut that the fuck down.”
