If RateGame didn’t exist, you’d never believe me when I say the Flames and Kraken have had a streak of awesome games recently. This game looked like it would continue that streak with it being fast-paced goalie duel. At least as fast as both these teams can go. I was looking at a high 8 at least for this game, but then the 3rd period happened. Flames gave up 2 goals almost immediately and it completely changed the tide. The Kraken focussed on preventing goals rather than scoring them and it put the cap on a wonderful Grubauer performance. 40 saves! Doing that against any team is incredible. Very few Flames were on their A-game. I’d say Wolf was but he got fed to the wolves in the 3rd. Klapka had that sweet goal and I thought Bahl was great. Unfortunately the rest of the team got worked by the Kraken in the 3rd. First couple periods was around a 9. The 3rd period was around a 3. 9 + 9 + 3 = 21, divide 21 by 3 and you get 7. This game earned a 7 according to my math.
