“Somehow, someway the Angels win this game. 6th inning, they allowed a Twins 2 run rally to make it 4-3. 7th inning, Twins threatened to score but couldn't. 8th inning, Twins threatened to score but couldn't. 9th inning, Twins threatened to score but couldn't. Incredible bullpen performance by the Angels in this one to pull off a victory. Two terrible teams battling it out, but its a baseball game, it was available for me to watch, so I watched it. And I'm glad I did. Baseball is amazing.”

Somehow, someway the Angels win this game. 6th inning, they allowed a Twins 2 run rally to make it 4-3. 7th inning, Twins threatened to score but couldn't. 8th inning, Twins threatened to score but couldn't. 9th inning, Twins threatened to score but couldn't. I thought it was inevitable that the Angels would choke away this game and they gave the Twins so many chances to spoil it, but the Halos are able to somehow thanks especially to some SchanuWOW on a spectacular catch to end it! The Angles take the opener!

Francisco Alvarez with a big 2 home run game. However, he isn't the Francisco the Mets need to step up. Yes, of course some good hitting from Alvarez is a big help, but they need their stars to shine. Juan Soto's doing it, now they need Francisco Lindor to step up. This season does seem dead, and then even more dead considering the fact that I just checked the standings and the only team in the National League worse than them is the Colorado Rockies. Yeah so I thought they had a chance at making a great late season run to the playoffs, but uh...no. I really don't know what the Mets need at this point. They've spent big money, they go and make big trades for guys like Freddy Peralta, and yet it just never seems to come together. At this point I think they need to prioritize young player development, bring guys up through the farm system, have them play together, and maybe that will make them a better team in the majors. But its clear something needs to change within the organization.
