“No James Franklin and still no improvement. To give credit to Iowa, they were a very solid team last year and even by the end of the season very very loosely in playoff contention, although it would've taken a miracle, a miracle they did not get. But 4 straight losses to start Big Ten play was something no one had on their Penn State football bingo card. This was their first game with Ethan Grunkemeyer at quarterback after Drew Allar's season ending broken ankle vs Northwestern, and he threw for all of 93 yards, no touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. The offense was led by Kaytron Allen, as it had been a lot earlier in the season, but after this game, Penn State was officially dead.”
