Veggie was doing work this game! And the posts! And Keller with some amazing shots and passes that were just incredible. Great first period for Utah. Second was a lot of back and forth but not a lot happening. Third was more leaning towards VGK but they had shots that were just way off the mark or barely off. Veggie getting everything else. Utah’s power play looked incredibly poor, but that didn’t matter too much. As long as their PK was good and 5v5 they looked great too.

Utah gave this one up. Vegas wanted it so much more and I think Utah felt that even going in. I really believed Vegas was the best team to play first round. Utah had their number through the regular season. But, the lack of playoff experience showed through this series. Now, they have a bit of it for the coming future. Going to have to fix a few things for next season but that was a given no matter how this series ended. Sucks that the season is now over for Mammoth but at least they made the playoffs. That was always the goal.

Utah showing their weakness and lack of playoff experience. They are tiring out and unable to make the last ditch effort worthwhile for themselves. They put all forth just to fall in the end of 3rd period and then again in OT. The effort is there but when they just aren’t getting the puck in net with all the shots they are making they allow the game to go so long like this one it drains them. Now down by one in the series I just pray they make it to seven. Good job for VGK pushing it all the way to the end.
