Certainly not a classic, but not a bad game by any means. Grindy game that came down to who would make less mistakes and it turned out the Vikings were that team. The Lions end their season in crushing disappointment that somehow might be worse than how they ended last season. Even with some stat padding during a futile attempt to save their season, Goff was bad. He was giving out many gifts as the Netflix commentators kindly pointed out. Brosmer, to his genuine credit, didn’t make his team’s life harder. He was careful with the football and ran the offense well enough to get double digit points. Justin Jefferson certainly helps with that, but he wasn’t that active. Even without a catch, Jordan Addison made probably the biggest play of this game with his 60+ yard run off a sweep and TD to give Minnesota the insurance they needed. Harrison Smith added to his Vikings legend with an interception today and the Vikings get a moral victory. The Lions need to ask some serious questions.
