@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Curaçao vs Germany

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Curaçao vs Germany game 3.4 out of 10 in FIFA on June 14, 2026. Final score: Curaçao 1 – Germany 7. Group E. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

This game looked like a mismatch going in and the final score reflects that. However, it didn’t look like that at first. Sure, Germany scored in less than 10 minutes, but the Curaçaoans weren’t backing down. They were forcing the Germans to work and eventually, a mistake gave Curaçao a moment they’ll never forget. Against Manuel Neuer, one of the best keepers ever, Livano Comenencia fired a shot past him for his nation’s first ever goal at a World Cup while simultaneously giving hope that they could upset the often-disappointing Germans. Unfortunately, after that goal, this game made Germany look more like the 2014 squad than 2022. The Kai Havertz penalty right before halftime was likely a death blow to Curaçao’s spirit, but just to make sure, Germany scored early in the 2nd half to really drive the stake through their opponent’s heart. Curaçao fought well in the first half, but were clearly demoralized in the 2nd. Still, they can say they put up a better fight than 2014 Brazil.
