“I said multiple times in the RateGame chat that I was expecting a great Skubal start. While I nailed that prediction, I could not possibly anticipate an extra innings classic. AND OF COURSE I WAS IN A PLANE FOR A CHUNK OF IT. That aside, this was an amazing way to end this series. This game became a pitching duel that turned into a bullpen battle and then a pitching staff WAR. If you love tense and dramatic baseball, you’re not getting much better than this. Both the Tigers and Mariners had chance after chance AFTER CHANCE in extras, but only one team could win. Jorge Polanco was the hero as the Mariners overcome Skubal, Carpenter and the Tigers.”

I said multiple times in the RateGame chat that I was expecting a great Skubal start. While I nailed that prediction, I could not possibly anticipate an extra innings classic.
