“For all the hype this game had, very disappointing unless you’re a Georgia fan and/or an Alabama hater. Both feelings are valid imo. More importantly, Gunner Stockton becomes the first Georgia QB (since at least 1995 according to stathead) to throw 3 passing TDs against Alabama AND win. Stockton had a great game, but when your defense holds Bama to their lowest rushing total against your team ever, it’s easy to get the win. This is also the first 20-point win for Georgia against Bama since 1976. Could’ve easily been a shutout, but a couple costly penalties set up a Bama TD. I wouldn’t even call this a sexy blowout as Georgia just played steady football. Nothing wrong with it, it worked tonight. But it doesn’t make for a great game. Georgia have plenty to be happy about while Bama’s humiliating loss could get them kicked out of the playoff. Though, let’s be honest, the committee will find a way to squeeze them in.”
