This game felt like a real test for the Raptors. Poeltl returned tonight, but this was going to be another game against an elite inside scorer in Giannis on a playoff team. Safe to say, they passed the test with flying colours. The offense flowed so well. All the swinging after drives to open 3 pointers made me smile. Did you know the Raptors are 2nd in assists per game and 1st in assist% so far this season? I didn’t. They showed exactly why they are in this game with all the great efficient team ball. And yet the most important progression was the defense. Giannis is always gonna get his, but we made him work for it and made sure nobody else had an easy time inside. The rebounding was much better not only with Poeltl returning, but with Mamu being an X-factor on the glass as well. As a Raptors fan, this game gave me a ton of confidence. Unfortunately, that also meant this was a one sided smacking from half way through the 1st to the end. The entire 4th quarter was garbage time.
