After a mostly defensive and slow first half, an absolute banger of a second followed. Back and forth scoring, Miami clawing back, Fletcher’s long rushing touchdown, the blocked punt in the end zone, another Heismandoza moment. There were so many highlights in the last two quarters. Beck throwing the game ending interception felt like such a poetic close to his collegiate story. And of course the culmination of Indiana’s magic season. I’m not afraid to call myself a bandwagon, because this story was pure magic and even if Indiana becomes the insufferable new Alabama of the CFB world it won’t take back how special this Natty win feels. Not the perfect championship game, but such a great way for one to play out to finish what was a perfect season and a perfect story.
