This game was 17-7 early in the 4th quarter and it looked like Missouri State was about to score a touchdown to pull away and then they fumbled and gave NMSU life. But NMSU wasn’t able to capitalize and they punted. But they got the ball back after forcing Missouri State to punt and got into field goal range and kicked a field goal to make it 17-10. Then Missouri State had the ball at the NMSU 49 yard line and only punted the ball 14 yards which ended up costing them because NMSU scored a touchdown to tie the game with 1:49 left in the fourth quarter. Then Missouri State drove into field goal range and missed the game winning field goal attempt as time expired and we went into overtime. In overtime Missouri State got the ball first and scored a touchdown to take a 24-17 lead. On their turn, NMSU threw a pick but Missouri State fumbled the ball and it bounced right to another Missouri State player and Missouri State won 24-17 in OT. FSU has a worse record than both of the new FBS teams.
