@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Capitals vs Penguins

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Capitals vs Penguins game 6.8 out of 10 in NHL on April 11, 2026. Final score: Capitals 6 – Penguins 3. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

This was supposed to be one of the last Ovi-Sid matchups and the century mark for their legendary rivalry. Sadly, Crosby, Malkin and a bunch of other Pens sat out. I get it, but that is still lame af. This game’s rating loses a point for that alone. Luckily, even without the marquee rivalry, we got a good game, mostly thanks to what has to be the worst game of Logan Thompson’s great season. Usually I’d say that designation is unfair, but omg it’s the only conclusion I can reach this time. Especially on the Aciari goal, Thompson looked off for most of the game. Luckily for everyone not rooting for the Capitals, it gave us an exciting back and forth 2nd period as the Penguins kept answering the bell when Washington would take a lead. Fortunately for Caps fans, their goalie finally remembered who he was in the 3rd. Mantha could’ve flipped momentum on its head with a goal on a late penalty shot, only for Logan Thompson to stone wall him. Ilya Protas also got his first NHL goal. Very cool.
