Super entertaining game that somehow revolved around a guy you wouldn’t expect. Matthew Tkachuk makes his season debut after recovering from surgery. Vincent Desharnais welcomed Chucky back from injury by laying him out with a massive hit in the 1st period. That hit was before the Sharks scored 3 goals in the first 6 minutes of the 2nd period. Including one from Desharnais after skating by Tkachuk as Chucky went off to change lines. I think we’ve learned that Desharnais secretly hates Matthew Tkachuk. Sharks pounced on the Panthers early in the period after a back and forth 1st. Panthers tried to claw their way back into the game, especially on the powerplay, they just couldn’t get enough substantial chances. Florida scored in the 3rd, but the theme of animosity stuck around. Rodrigues cross checked Desharnais from behind after a whistle, inciting A GOALIE FIGHT. Just like this game, Sharks’ Nedeljkovic took down Panthers’ Bobrovsky. Sharks used that momentum boost to finish it off.
