A game that harkened back to the bloody battles from the 70s when John Madden was best known for his coaching. Broncos really took a while to find their groove and by a while, I mean basically the entire game. Some would take this is as a sign that they’re fraudulent, I’m choosing to believe they wanted a better RateGame rating. They did succeed in that venture… kinda. Still wasn’t fun to watch most of the time. Fortunately for their offense; the Broncos defense came to play; completely shutting down the Raiders offense after giving up that TD in the 1st quarter. The Raiders ineptitude certainly helped in that regard, it got to the point that they were just spamming halfback dives with Jeanty; they did everything to avoid using a limping Geno Smith. In the end it didn’t matter as their kicker missed the field goal. All it took was a blocked punt, multiple drops and an interception for the Broncos to beat the Raiders by 3. Some game changing plays couldn’t salvage this game completely.
