“The Habs get a massive win in a game that had an electric start, but gradually winded down until it became a waiting game during the final minutes. If this game is a rollercoaster, imagine a coaster that starts with the biggest drops and the proceeding drops get smaller and smaller until the carts basically act like a kiddy-coaster and drifts to the end. The 1st period was absolute anarchy. No sitting down allowed as both teams went back and forth with goals thanks to good old fashioned chaos. Whether it was crazy deflections or giveaways generated from pressure, neither goalie could afford to rest on their laurels. 5 combined goals in 10 minutes is absolute insanity. The game shifted, but remained exciting in the 2nd as it became more of a goalie duel. The Habs managed to tie it thanks to an incredible move and pass from Hutson. The backbreaker for Buffalo was the 2 goals in just a minute they gave up late in the 2nd. Sabres couldn’t beat Dobeš after that. The 3rd became a formality. ”
