Aesthetically, not a great game, but it had its moments. This game is a testament to Toronto’s defense while also being an indictment on their offense. No points in the first 2 minutes feels so right for these teams considering their seasons so far. Mamu hit a 3 to break the 0-0 tie and they proceeded to combine for 31 points with Portland only scoring 12. The outside shooting was bad for Toronto, but thankfully, their interior offense found a groove and was essential down the stretch. Very happy to see RJ return with a modest performance. Quickley with another great game and Mamu has really been coming into his own. Both Quickley and Mamu put up 20 points and 6 rebounds funnily enough. Ingram had a productive night as well. Scottie was incredible defensively (although he stat padded his blocks in the final seconds), just couldn’t get into a groove with his shot and became more of a distributor. I’d call this a team-win, just with IQ and Mamu leading the way. The real test comes Sunday
