“This Phillies offense is lifeless. Calling them "lost at the plate" would almost be a compliment at this point. 16 strikeouts? From THIS lineup? Trea Turner, 2 strikeouts. Kyle Schwarber, 2 strikeouts. Brandon Marsh, 3 strikeouts. Adolis Garcia, 2 strikeouts. Alec Bohm, 3 strikeouts. The most overpaid catcher in baseball, 2 strikeouts. How does Kevin Long still have a job? We see the same damn mistakes night after night after night from this lethargic offense. You know who has the best approach at the plate right now? Justin Crawford. The rookie. The 9-hole hitter. He's hitting .316, a top-25 mark in MLB. He even gave the Phillies hope with a very, very late triple. You know who should be called up to the Phillies? Adam Lind, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs hitting coach. Maybe, just maybe, he could salvage the dumpster fire this offense has turned into. Fire that clown Kevin Long into the sun, and maybe, MAYBE, the Phillies can overcome a one-run deficit someday.”
