“Battle of Alberta, always excited for these matchups. However, to be completely honest. I kinda saw this coming. I went into this game thinking it was gonna be a blowout in one way or another, turned out it was in favour of the Oilers. Dustin Wolf tried his best, but even he couldn’t save us. I’m just shrugging my shoulders, accepting the tank and enjoying the festivities/scrums. I greatly appreciate that even when our teams are at polar opposite spots in the NHL, the Battle of Alberta maintains its tension. With that being said, this game sucked. Sorry, gotta call it like I see it. Oilers earned the win but the Flames kept taking bad penalties, culminating with Weegar’s misconduct, and the Oilers power play abused us. Simple as that. No Flame had a great game besides Wolf. Meanwhile the Oilers had a great night. Only other thing I can say is: thanks for beating the Golden Knights, see ya after Christmas. ”
