“A duel that everyone was hyping up leading into the season did not disappoint at all. Trey Yesavage vs Cam Schlittler. The two young pitching studs in the AL East (Payton Tolle clears both but that’s a conversation no one else is ready for). Schlittler in AL Cy Young talks. And it lived up to the hype. Neither team scored through 6 innings before the Jays jumped on Schlittler, scoring 2 before he could even get an out in the 7th. The Yankees came close to a comeback in the 9th against Louis Varland, but the Blue Jays held on to the lead and the victory, setting them up at a chance to split the series today. PS. Sorry to those disappointed in hopes of a DAAAAA JANKEES LOSE, I wanted to actually analyze this pitching matchup. Back to our regularly scheduled DAAAAAAA JANKEES LOSE if the Jays win today.
