“Incredibly disappointing to see this team come out so flat. You could afford to drop a game last night and I understand how hard it is to keep winning at such a clip, but to look like that in front of the home crowd with a playoff spot hanging in the balance is brutal. Cecconi got smacked early and a momentary swing in momentum faded into getting carved up by Leiter other than the one Manzardo ball. Credit to Texas for playing so well with nothing on the line and a lineup lacking in regulars. Gotta put this one behind us and say a massive thank you to the Sox for bailing us out. You’re still in first in the division. Don’t let them take it from you.”
