Two great teams, in what should be a great environment and it could’ve been so amazing. Refs were way too whistle happy, completely dictating the way this game went down the stretch, although credit to them not ruining last 3 minutes. Players Era as a whole im not a fan of and the crowd today while loud, is so small for a game like this when it could be played in Maui or the bahamas. For the actual game, what great defense on both sides, Bryce Hopkins and Zuby Ejiofor really impressed in one on one situations, as did Joshua Jefferson for the Cyclones, what a beast he is. Milan Momcilovic was lights out all over the floor, huge threes, some really tough finishes. Heise and Buchanan also had some huge offensive boards that SJU needs to block out better. Oziyah Sellers did a great job knocking down some massive threes, just couldn’t hit those last few shots late. Overall a big resumé builder for the Cyclones, while St John’s is in a much riskier spot than they’d like to be with 2 Ls alr

Michelob Arena does feel quite spacious for these early games I hope it fills out at the tourney progresses
