The best goaltender New Brunswick has ever produced comes out on top tonight. An epic fast-paced back and forth goalie duel with plenty of great saves from both goaltenders. This game only got more hectic as this game went on, so many times where I thought a play would be the decider. Connor Brown with a scrappy hard-fought goal looked like it would be the winner, even with Vegas doing everything to try and tie it up. Eventually, the finally broke through as Dorofeyev lasered the tying goal past Jake Allen off a Mark Stone feed. Then we got overtime and OT was AWESOME. So much intense back and forth action that turned into a tense couple minutes as the Golden Knights got a power play and literally came within inches of winning the game. I’m sad we had to settle this in the shootout where it ended on a Marner goal being called off for a double hit. It was the right call, but it’s an underwhelming way to end this amazing game. At least Bratt scored a sweet goal in the shootout.
