A great example of how time of possession can mean very little in the grand scheme of things. Does it mean something? Of course. The Saints basically had a chance throughout the 2nd half to potentially tie up the game or at least make it interesting. But even with all the time they had the ball and effort from their defense, the Saints’ offense could not do diddly poo. They couldn’t make a first down, they couldn’t run the ball, they didn’t try to run the ball, they sucked. Shoutout Jim Mora. Iconic quote and still fitting all these years later with a different Saints team.
