This was absolutely electric to watch in person, being in the presence of greatness with Alex Ovechkin in the same building as me. Nino Niederreiter plays his 1000th game, everyone was so loud for him and his ceremony, this game would have been a 10 if he scored. Funny enough, when the jets were in Washington they had to sit though a ceremony as well. Everyone was wearing number 62 in warmups for on jets, which was awesome. They hadn’t announced Hellybucks return until all of sudden he was in warmups and when his name was announced in the arena as starting, the crowd went insane. “Surprise Surprise the king is back!” The jets looked like a completely different team with Hellybuck in net, his clam demeanour is really refreshing, instead of Comrie who just panics and then does the splits. The sniper Logan Stanley, with a nasty a heavy hand eye coordination goal. The penalty kill was stellar, if it wasn’t for that bad call, it would’ve been perfect. And Valardi was awesome this game!
