Another one the Kings are going to regret letting get away. LA set the pace early and grinded to a screeching halt in the 2nd period when Vegas gained more and more control, culminating in Braeden Bowman’s goal. All it took was one blown defensive assignment and sweet backhand pass from Eichel to do it. After that, the Kings managed to keep it just a 1 goal hole. Going into the 3rd, the Kings needed to regain some momentum if they wanted any chance. Kings finally managed to score thanks to some slick passing between Turcotte and Fiala. After that, the Golden Knights treated this like a soccer game because they held onto the puck for a long time. Kings could only get 1 shot in the next 10 minutes and Vegas wouldn’t let that time go to waste as Marner took the lead. Right when I thought the Kings were dead, Brandt Clarke tied the game with a scrappy goal in the final minutes. Life was in their veins and promptly ripped out thanks to Jack Eichel setting up Mark Stone in OT.
