Cool game with two great exciting teams, one is on fire and the other is scorching. Through the last 20 games, the Sabres have more wins than anyone. They have legit been the best team in the NHL and proved it early in this one. Jason Zucker silenced Montreal immediately with a wicked shot on a 2-on-1. Beck then slid on by Dobson for a shorthanded goal. Then a slick passing play at the start of the 2nd gave Buffalo a 3-0 lead. At that point, it would be easy to think Montreal would roll over and just let the loss happen. Instead, Caufield the Bell Centre a surge with a goal just a minute and a half after the Sabres’ goal. Suzuki then scored one thanks to his harsh forecheck to cut the deficit to 1. Ignoring a the garbage double penalty that happened near the end of the 2nd, the game was leaning hard in Montreal’s direction. Habs remained in control, but Buffalo did a much better job containing the chances and it helped them leave Montreal with a 17th win in their last 21 games. Amazing
