“Great game in terms of the quality of play as well as the drama. Most importantly, Kings history was made by a legendary King. Anze Kopitar came into this game 1 point behind the legendary Marcel Dionne on the Kings’ all-time scorers list. After the Devils went up 2-0 early on the Kings, LA began putting the pressure on New Jersey and it eventually culminated in a goal from Kopitar to tie him with Dionne with 1307 points as a remember of the Kings. That price of history clearly gave the Kings a boost because they kept controlling play. They scored 2 more goals in the 2nd to take the lead going into the intermission. The Devils immediately tied it up in the 3rd, then took the lead after 10 minutes of even play. The Kings captain, Kopitar responded with a goal of his own, tying up the game and officially passing Dionne in a great moment. Unfortunately, this is no fairytale and Jack Hughes has experience in crushing dreams, he did exactly that when he scored the winner and Meier sealed it”
