It was all about Blake Snell. He was untouchable. Eight innings, one hit, ten strikeouts — pure dominance. Milwaukee couldn’t do anything against him after the third inning. It felt like he was in total control the whole night. Freddie Freeman broke the scoreless tie with a solo homer in the sixth, and that swing felt huge in such a tight game. Then, in the ninth, Mookie Betts worked a bases-loaded walk to give L.A. a little cushion — and they definitely needed it. The Brewers made things interesting in the bottom half, scoring once and loading the bases, but Blake Treinen slammed the door with a strikeout to end it. There was also this bizarre play in the fourth inning where Max Muncy almost hit a grand slam, but Milwaukee’s Sal Frelick bobbled the ball at the wall and somehow turned it into a double play. It was one of those “only in October” moments that could’ve completely flipped the game.
