@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Padres vs Reds

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Padres vs Reds game 4.4 out of 10 in MLB on March 1, 2025. Final score: Padres 3 – Reds 7. Preseason. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

In honour of Mr. Sauer’s mission, I will rate this game. Overall, this game was fine. I tried to find a video or even a single highlight, but there is nothing. If MLB themselves don’t have the video (and are not trying to make me pay to watch it), then I’m convinced there’s no video. Luckily, I found play-by-play. Now for the game itself. One of the best parts about spring training is players on the edge of making the active roster try to make it with a great run against MLB-level competition. One guy who took advantage of that was Oscar Gonzalez. He finished tied for 2nd in hits with Cody Bellinger during spring training and scored the first run of this game off a ground out. It was a part of an early rally to give San Diego a 2-0 lead. The Reds did mount a comeback almost immediately thanks to Elly and others, but it was fun while it lasted. Dylan Cease looked good, but most of the bullpen either just got the job done or struggled mightily. Reds got the win and Oscar earned a spot.
