Initially looked like a simple Ducks win. They literally scored immediately and for the first time this season, Spencer Knight genuinely looked awful. Sure, he got beat by a couple good shots, but those are also plays he’s stopped before and the Kreider goal especially really should’ve been a non-threat. Fortunately for the Blackhawks, the NHL rigged the draft lottery for them 2 years ago, gave them Connor Bedard and he can pull of shit like having a 4 point game when they need it most. He initially kicked off the comeback by setting up Tyler Bertuzzi and he capped it off with the game winner and the empty netter as insurance. Although the comeback was almost for nothing. Alex Killorn, who has had a tough season so far, looked like he had given the Ducks the lead back, only for it to be called back for offside. I don’t hate offside challenges as much as most, but it would be wrong to say they don’t hurt momentum. Bedard scored the winner 5 minutes later off a bad giveaway.
