“WARNING WARNING, Hurricane rapidly approaching, no matter what happens, don’t fly at this time. The Flyers clearly missed that Hurricane warning and ran into the machine that is the Carolina Hurricanes. For 50 minutes, Carolina was a force of nature, led by the hottest player in the playoffs, Logan Stankoven. It’s easy to say ‘the Flyers are finally facing a real team’ or something like that. But many people (including me) thought Pittsburgh would beat them. Carolina is just an entirely different beast and they proved it. Credit to the Flyers though, they didn’t just roll over and die for 60 minutes, just 50. They did their best to intimidate and get a goal in the final 10 minutes. Unfortunately for them, Frederik Andersen is on a roll. He clinched his 7th career playoff shutout, moving him into the top 30 all-time in that category. Carolina also became the first team in 40 years to not trail at any point in their first 5 playoff games. Philly better go into game 2 with a new gameplan.”
