“Closer than the final score will tell you. If this was football, this game would’ve gone… kinda similarly to be completely honest. Even had a dirty play right after Alabama did something shady. In all seriousness, Hofstra put up a great fight and not the kind that leads to suspensions and 5 minutes in a box if this was hockey. Using the football comparison, the unheralded school jumped on Bama early. Catching them off guard and taking a small lead. Bama woke up and started finding their groove, but Hofstra wouldn’t give it up that easily. Mostly thanks to their 3-point shooting, Hofstra managed to do more than keep up, they actually had the lead for most of the 1st half. The downfall began in the last 5 minutes when Bama managed to take the lead back. Even then, Hofstra wouldn’t give in and made sure Bama had a tough time. It wasn’t until right before the aforementioned incident that Bama officially made this game a blowout on the scoreboard. Could’ve been a much worse game.”
