“Looking back at this game you realize that FDU didn't really play better then any 16 seed had before. In fact I would say they played worse in some aspects they just got lucky that Purdue didn't know what they were doing. They went 3 straight years from 2021 to 2023 where they lost to double digit seeds every year. North Texas was a solid team and Saint Peters was hot at the time. To lose to a FDU team which had already played a first four game to even get to play the number 1 seed. Embarassing for Purdue. As a Nebraska fan watching this game made me truly believe that even though we don't go to March Madness at least I am not a Purdue fan that does so good in the Regular Season only to be bounced by the power of friendship every year.”
