FLAMES HOCKEY IS BACK BABY AND DUSTIN WOLF IS RESTED! Yes, it is whiplash going from Olympic hockey to Flames hockey, only dozens of people have brought it up. Jokes aside, we got a wonderful goalie duel between 2 young studs. The Olympic break did good things for Wolf and Askarov as they both came in ready to go. The Flames’ skaters did not come in ready to go as the Sharks were all over the Flames, peppering Wolf with shots, if not for him, the Sharks jump to an early lead. Instead, it was 0-0 after 1, but former Flame Tyler Toffoli who broke the deadlock with a tip. The Sharks continued to apply pressure and Wolf continued to stand strong. Nazem Kadri would turn this game when he beat Askarov above his glove and tied the game. The Flames carried that momentum into the 3rd, outplayed the Sharks and made a tied game into a 4-1 victory thanks to Zary, Kadri and a Backlund empty netter. I greatly appreciate Nazem Kadri raising his trade value. Hopefully he gets a chance to compete.
