“This was a bad loss for the Angels. One of the reasons this loss is so bad is because this game started so well for them! The Halos had the lead early on a Taylor Ward homer, and they would keep it for a long time thanks to an amazing start from Jose Soriano! He got through 5.1 innings of one run ball to set up what I thought would be a good finish! Unfortunately for that idea, the Dodgers would really start to run away with it. Kenley Jansen would give up a pair of runs to lose the lead, and LA would get four more on top of that in the eighth. The Angels couldn’t come close to finding an answer as they drop a game that could’ve pretty easily gone the other way. This one really got away from the Halos fast”

This was a bad loss for the Angels. One of the reasons this loss is so bad is because this game started so well for them! The Cubs showed a lot of fight in this game, but it just wasn’t enough! A three run homer from Hector Rodriguez erased their early two run lead, and they were able to answer back right away with a sacrifice fly to tie it! The Reds would take another lead, and it would be bigger this time as a pair of homers doubled their score! One more home run in the seventh was enough to hold off Chicago even though they were able to fight back at the end! Great win for Cincinnati as they are finally playing some good baseball!

Yet another good pitching performance that was wasted by the Angels. Zack Wheeler and Yusei Kikuchi were almost identical today as they both gave up one run on four hits through six innings, but Kikuchi came back out for the seventh. He would give up a go-ahead homer to Edmundo Sosa, and it was all downhill from there. The Phillies put up three in the eighth for a ton of insurance. The Angels never came close to recovering even though Trout did double to knock in a run in the ninth. The Halos never cease to disappoint as they lose their 7th striaght. They need to finish the season 11-14
