“That was awesome. Classic rivalry shenanigans. Habs-Bruins is always intense. Pavel Zacha was eager to put himself in Bruins lore. The Bruins were the better team early and Zacha made that play worth something with a goal on the first powerplay. I’d say the Bruins were in total control for about 8 minutes, then Montreal took over. Specifially, their first line took over. Caufield-Suzuki-Slafkovsky looked phenomenal, getting chance-after-chance. Eventually, Suzuki broke Swayman’s ankles and got a shot past him to tie it up. The Habs controlled the game for the rest of the period and had phases of the other 2 periods when they controlled the game. Same goes for Boston. Neither team dominated entire periods, there would be times when Montreal had all the control and vice versa. Zacha got his 2nd goal off a tip and Josh Anderson got Montreal’s 2nd goal off a tip too. This game would be decided in overtime and OT was great! Intense back-and-forth that ended thanks to Goal Caufield.”
