“First of all – Dylan Cease is phenomenal. I’m so glad we have a guy like this in our rotation. That seven-year contract is looking pretty solid right now. Hoffman looked decent under pressure, and Varland was ice cold to close things out. Awesome stuff. On the offensive side, it’s crazy that Detmers was collapsing that hard and all we got from it was two runs. Sorry, I love the guy, but Davis Schneider has no business in this lineup right now. That should have been Piñango from the get-go. Last but not least, we have Alek Manoah. Pitching in a Blue Jays game in 2026. Getting a strikeout. Pitching a three-up, three-down inning. That is the wildest thing I’ve seen all season.”
