This tight game was looking like it would be remembered for 1 thing, but then it got flipped on its head and almost ended in spectacular fashion. Blake Snell’s performance was magnificent and it hearkened back to his Rays years. He set career highs in innings pitched and strikeouts. He became the 1st Dodgers pitcher to have a 10 K 1 hitter in the postseason and just the 2nd pitcher ever to do both in the NLCS. He completely shut down the Brewers bat in a legendary performance and it looked like that would define this game. Freddie Freeman was the one that finally broke the deadlock and the Dodgers got a useful insurance run. That insurance ended up being crucial as Roki Sasaki finally looked human as the Dodgers closer and the Brewers finally got a rally going. All of a sudden, a game that looked one-sided became a nail biter decided by Brice Turang dodging a hit by pitch with the basses loaded that would’ve tied the game. Insane ending.
