“Big meh energy. Even though that sounds paradoxical, I can’t think of a better way to describe it. This game is a great example of how shots and the scoreboard sometimes do not tell the full story of a game. Although this game was close, it always felt like Carolina was going to win. Some big saves from Ullmark kept this a 1-goal game. Unfortunately for him, Frederik Andersen is also having a great series which is making it hard got Ottawa to keep up. More than anything though, Carolina is just doing a great job applying pressure. Ottawa has a talented group of skaters and the Hurricanes are making them look like they’re new to hockey. Can this series end all the “Carolina has it easy” talk? They had the hype about how great Ottawa was and how hot they were coming into the playoffs and Carolina is treating them like they’re a speed bag during pre-fight training. Logan Stankoven has been super impressive in this series. His line alongside Taylor Hall and Jackson Blake has been dominant”
