I swear I already rated this. I didn’t even have to look it up to tell what game this was. This is the game where Adam Klapka completely shifted momentum with his highlight goal for his first of the season. After a 1st period that was mostly even despite Anaheim taking the lead, Klapka’s goal shifted momentum in favour of Calgary. The Flames got more and better chances and no Flame contributed more to both ends than Matt Coronato. Blake Coleman added to the momentum boost with a deflected shot from Coronato, but Zary’s favourite player would set the tone in the 3rd. I remember his forecheck being brilliant and his improvements in skating really shining throughout the period. He was eventually rewarded with a goal thanks to a bad goalie mistake and quick dangle by a floundering Gibson. He got an empty netter for good measure. Beyond Coronato, Wolf was also great and Klapka played great too. Looking back on the play-by-play, I completely forgot Kadri and Trouba fought, not a good sign.
