“Jacob Fowler’s first NHL game and win, I was super excited for this one, especially since Fowler likely grew up watching Crosby and Malkin. But goaltending is hard and the Habs did a tremendous job protecting Fowler early on while allowing the highly touted prospect to get comfortable. Once he appeared to be ready, the Canadiens let him get tested repeatedly and Fowler rose to the challenge, making save after save. Sadly, Fowler wouldn’t get his debut shutout thanks to a slick pass from Crosby to Rust, but the kid had a heck of a game. Rock solid goaltending with the Habs skaters cooking is a great recipe. Although my favourite part was when Fowler gave up his first goal and then fellow youngster Kapanen scored shortly after. It’s like they got pissed the Penguins broke up his shutout. While I do genuinely believe the skaters deserve some credit for offense and defense, Fowler gave the Habs exactly what they needed. Get ready to be Mythologized Jacob (iykyk).”

Jacob Fowler’s first NHL game and win, I was super excited for this one, especially since Fowler likely grew up watching Crosby and Malkin.
