“This was an electric game. Congrats to Cuse. Back and forth till the end. They started to run away but we fought back and showed some grit. For the Vols... back to the drawing board. We have a glaring issue that we dont have a defensive anchor and we need it desperately if we're gonna survive SEC play. Nate Ament is showing that he is a freshman... and against other freshman... he is not showing that he's much better than any of his peers. This could be a good sign come Draft time, but for the Vols right now... we need consistent perimeter scoring, (which we will never have under Rick Barnes), and we need interior defense around the rim. Vols fall to 7-2... we were NOT supposed to lose this game.. now ANYTHING could happen in these next 2 against Illinois and Louisville... atleast its been good hoops these last few games.”
