“That sucked. The 3rd largest margin of victory in a 4-5-seed matchup in NCAA tournament history. The basketball gods have decreed that we have had too much good basketball today and we must have at least 1 stinker. This is that stinker. The loss of JT Toppin finally caught up with them. Bama put the blitz on Texas Tech early and never relented. Just looking at the rebounding disparity is staggering, but watching makes it even more apparent how much they got bullied in the paint. The difference would’ve been even greater had the Crimson Tide not coasted in the 2nd half. They could’ve also had the record for largest margin of victory had they not messed around. Instead of being a cool stat, the ending was just bland. The game as a whole was a slog and a big disappointment, but I’m sure the Crimson Tide is ecstatic, Wrightsell chief among them. 24-points on elite efficiency will make anyone happy. Houston Mallette had a great time coming off the bench and put up 15 and 7. ”
