The run of a lifetime… is over for the Guardians. The Tigers make up for their slump and find their way to the series everybody expected them to be in, the ALDS. The Guardians needed their pitching and it failed them at the worst possible time as the bullpen could not keep up their great run of form. Gaddis in particular, who is a major reason they even made it to game 3, couldn’t get a 2nd out before giving up 2 runs and 3 hits. Meanwhile Flaherty and the Tigers bullpen give them just enough. The hitters also came to life when they had to. Guardians had a chance to tie it up, but some ill-advised baserunning took that chance away.
