“Going into this game, Brazil had everything to play for while Haiti were playing with house money. It played out exactly like we expected. Haiti put up a valiant effort for 20 minutes, holding off Brazil, but they could only do that for so long as Vinicius Jr. and Cunha tore them apart. The first goal was kinda awkward, albeit with a great set up from Vini. Cunha looked like Adrian Beltre hitting a home run when he collapsed while putting the shot into the top corner and Vini was left all alone for the 3rd one. That last goal coming at halftime had to hurt. Nobody would’ve blamed Haiti if they had just waited out the clock and just avoid letting the blowout get worse Fortunately, they didn’t do that. They took risks. They actively tried to score and they nearly did it. If not for an Alisson save on the line, they would’ve had their first goal of the tournament. They didn’t manage to score and Brazil won comfortably, but Haiti has earned my eternal respect for how they’ve played so far”
