@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Congo DR vs Jamaica

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Congo DR vs Jamaica game 7.5 out of 10 in FIFA on March 31, 2026. Final score: Congo DR 1 – Jamaica 0. Qualification Final. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

The chaotic world of African football meets the structuralist world of North American football. Chaos prevailed and the Democratic Republic of Congo has qualified for their first ever World Cup (first since 1974 if we include Zaire’s history). The game started out slow. Jamaica was doing a good job at suppressing Congo’s attack at the cost of their own as they couldn’t get much themselves. By halftime, it looked like that would continue all the way into an inevitable extra time. Not so fast, the Congo’s build up got more fluid and kept Jamaica on their heels, but that extra time did some as prophesied. Despite that, I personally felt like it was only a matter of time and that’s when the hero of this story introduced himself. Axel Tuanzebe scored the game’s first goal off of a corner and then helped hold the line by making crucial interceptions to help the Congo do something their nation hasn’t seen in decades. The Congo could’ve easily won by more if not for some crazy Blake saves.
