Maybe I’m being weird, but I really liked this one. As someone who appreciates great goaltending, I loved watching Phillip Grubauer stand on his head and breakdance to help Seattle get a surprising win, with some help from World Juniors legend Jordan Eberle. Sometimes the shot totals don’t tell the true story, the shot totals were painfully accurate in this one. Anaheim was all over the Kraken, getting chance after chance, but the best German-born goaltender of all time was the Berlin Wall when his team desperately needed. Even if Eberle doesn’t get his 2 goals, I genuinely don’t think Anaheim wins, Grubauer was in such a zone. It also helps that this game was tight up until the 3rd, with Eberle breaking he deadlock. Just a great close game overall, even though it was one-sided.
