@FlameRaptorRaven's rating of Huskies vs Red Storm

@FlameRaptorRaven rated the Huskies vs Red Storm game 7.6 out of 10 in CBB on February 7, 2026. Final score: Huskies 72 – Red Storm 81. Reg. Season. Fan ratings and discussion on RateGame.

Heck of a way to jump into 3rd all-time in coaching wins for Pitino. The Huskies may be frauds, but they didn’t make it too easy for St. John’s. In the words of the great Gus Johnson, this game was like a seasaw. Many lead changes throughout, but it eventually leaned in favour of the Red Storm. The Huskies really leaned on their shooting and, to be fair to them, it nearly worked. They shot nearly 50% from the 3 point lime while their opponent couldn’t even shoot 30%. To make things even better for UConn, Demary Jr. yammed it on the man in the middle right when St. John’s appeared to be pulling away. They still did pull away, so what happened? Well, two things. 1. The Huskies being incapable of hitting their free throws and 2. Pitino’s team doing a much better job remaining composed and doing the dirty work. The rebounds made up for their poor shooting and their lack of turnovers made sure the Huskies didn’t get extra chances. Altogether it gives St. John’s their 9th consecutive win.
