“So personally, I had witnessed some terrible tournament losses around this time, whether it was a 15th seed, 14th seed, or historically a 13th seed, I just couldn’t get a break, the only reason I was tormented by a historical loss is because there was a group of people who decided that I needed to know it daily. It was my friends, my family, my newly acquainted enemies and they all had one thing in common, they have a taste for black and gold. People finally become #1 in something and think they own the world. It could be your own teachers, it could be your mailman, and for me it was. I carry myself very heavily with UK insignias, so I became a target for the less thoughtful. It was through my words that I spoke with wisdom and stated they were going to lose to Fairleigh Dickinson University, I was called many things, but as time proved, I was not a liar. They laughed. But those people fell quiet after that, I haven’t heard a comment from them in ages, oh well, we can’t all be winners!”
